🎟️ Register as Event Organizer

Individual or Business — your first step before creating any event

Before you start: You must have a Kelal Gateway member account and be signed in. Organizer registration is required once — after that you can create unlimited events from the Organizer Dashboard.

How to get there

  1. Open the app and sign in.
  2. Open the menu and tap Organizer Dashboard.
  3. If you are not yet registered as an event organizer, the app sends you straight to the Organizer Registration page.
  4. Complete the registration form on that page.

After you are registered, tapping Organizer Dashboard in the menu opens your dashboard, where you can tap Create New Event to start building an event.

Step-by-step registration

1 Select Individual or Business

Tap the organizer type at the top of the form. Switching to Business clears the name field so you enter the legal company name.

2 Fill in contact details
  • Name — individual full name or company name
  • Phone — Ethiopian mobile number; tap the field to use the numeric keypad
  • Email — for organizer communications
  • Social media — optional links shown on your organizer profile
3 Add TIN & documents (optional now)

Enter your 10-digit TIN using the keypad. Upload PNG or JPG images only:

  • Individual: TIN card + Government ID
  • Business: TIN card + Business license

Skipping these is fine for free RSVP events; paid and donation flows will ask again.

4 Read organizer terms

Review the Organizer Terms & Conditions, including:

  • 3% platform commission on paid ticket sales
  • 3% withholding tax (WHT) remitted to the Ministry of Revenue on your behalf
  • Safety and conduct expectations for events

Accept the terms to continue.

5 Verify your phone (OTP)

Tap Register. You receive a one-time code by SMS. Enter it in the verification popup. If the phone is already on another account, the app will tell you.

6 Success — Organizer Dashboard
